              ~Chapter Eight~
"Everybody, QUIET! STOP FIGHTING!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Everyone continued, though. I sighed. Addison sniffled a few times got, up, and screamed as loudly as she could.
"QUIET! OR ELSE I WILL KICK ALL OF YOUR-"
"OKAY! Thanks Addison!" I said, trying to calm her down.
Everyone immediately got silent.
"Priscilla! Let me give you your first kiss! We got interrupted, let's try again!" Nathan begged.
"What? No! Let ME give you your first kiss, Priscilla! We've gotten interrupted plenty of times, remember?" Bryce begged.
Oh man, two guys? One was enough trouble.
"N-no! Me! Er...please!" Walter shouted. He blushed, covered his mouth with his hands, and turned away, bright red.
Three guys now? They all began arguing and yelling at each other loudly. I sighed. I thought to myself, isn't this what I wanted? To have my first kiss with someone? But it had to be someone special, didn't it? They were all fantastic guys. I mean, sure, one is a big flirt, one is a huge nerd, and one tried to force a kiss on me and went through a whole lot of trouble just to kiss me and make my dream come true or whatever, but they were amazing guys. Nathan really wanted to kiss me, but so did the other two. Bryce kept trying to kiss me, but didn't do as much work as Nathan. Walter, on the other hand, was too shy many times, but didn't try anything crazy and FORCE a kiss on me. My head was about to explode! I didn't know who to pick. I looked around at them. Bryce and Nathan were about to start fighting each other over me, and Walter, who was still bright red, was cleaning his glasses.
"EVERYONE, QUIET! I'm not having my first kiss from ANY of you! I...I just can't decide! So, I'm just going to have my first kiss from a complete stranger!" I said.
Yes, that was my "brilliant" idea. I turned to one of Nathan's friends, and tried to give him a kiss, but missed. I tried again, but he squirmed around and pushed me away. Immediately, he ran away and over the pile of rocks. He slid down on the other side and continued running, almost screaming a few times. I turned to the other guys, who also ran away. I turned to Kevin, but he backed away slowly, and then ran away with the rest. I moaned. Now there were only three guys to choose from. I sadly looked down at my feet, and just climbed the rock pile and left. I walked slowly back to the bright stores. It had become night already. I looked around, feeling all sad and depressed. Now what? Who knew that choosing which guy to have your first kiss with was so hard? I heard barking, and turned around. I saw Princess. She ran over to me and jumped up in the air a few times. I smiled, crouched down, and pet her head. Then I grabbed her leash, and began walking to Walter's house.
"Hey, Priscilla!" I heard behind me.
I turned around and saw Bryce. Should I stop and wait for him? I waited for him to catch up, which didn't take very long.
"May I walk you home?" He asked.
I shook my head no. "I'm not going home," I told him, and turned away immediately.
He grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "Then can I walk you to wherever you're going?"
Princess began to growl at him. He let go and took a step back.
"M-maybe some other time. See ya, Priscilla!" And with that he ran to the other direction.
We continued to Walter's house, but when I finally reached my neighborhood, I heard some rustling in the bushes. I sighed.
"Alright, get out already. I know you're in there, Nathan." I sighed.
He moaned and got out.
"Please, Priscilla! I'm the perfect guy! I can protect you from anything and anyone!" He begged.
"Sorry, Nathan, but I can't decide between three great guys yet. Give me some time to think about it, alright?" I told him.
He put his head down and left. I was surprised he didn't try anything. He probably will again later, so I should watch out. Once I reached Walter's house, I realized that Walter and Angelina still hadn't gotten home yet. I sat down in front of their front lawn and waited. Once they arrived, I noticed that Walter seemed incredibly happy to see me, which bothered me a bit. I didn't want him to think I favored him out of the other two. I still hadn't decided!
"H-hey, Priscilla. I see you found Princess! Thanks, you're am-amazing! Would you like to come in for a bit?" Walter asked.
"Please, Priscilla? PLEASE? PLEEEASE?" Angelina begged.
"I'm sorry, you two, but I should really go home now. My mom might get worried about me... again." I apologized.
"Awwww, okay, bye-bye!" Angelina said.
I felt bad, but I really did have to go. I didn't want my mom to freak out and call the police and say I was missing, or anything. It was already nighttime! I hurried home, and of course, my mom grounded me. A couple weeks later, we realized that our project was almost due, and we needed to hurry up a little bit. Since Walter and I had the most to do, he invited me over to his house after school to work on the project. I agreed, since Angelina was probably going to be there helping us so he won't try anything. At least it wasn't Nathan who asked. After school, Walter and I walked over to his house, but on our way there, we heard a kid call out something ridiculous.
"Hey, Walter and Priscilla are dating? Since when?"
"Yeah, yeah, they are! How adorable!"
"Meh...they're an okay couple."
"Are you kidding? They're such a cute couple!"
All the kids started saying absolutely ridiculous things, one after another, so I screamed out at the top of my lungs that we weren't dating and that we were just friends. That made everyone shut up. Once we arrived at his house, we got straight to work in his living room.
"Hey, Priscilla! Would you like a drink?" Angelina asked me.
I noticed that she was very polite. She was the most polite little girl I had ever met! If only my younger cousins could learn from her.
"Oh, no thank you, Angelina. But thank you for offering!" I said.
She smiled and began helping us work. We let her cut and glue some pieces. We worked and chatted a bit for a couple hours, until Angelina had to go use the restroom, which meant that Walter and I were all alone. I decided to break the awkward silence she left us.
"...so when are your parents coming back?" I asked.
"Oh, uh, next week. They've been gone for a pretty long time now. Angelina and I were starting to get worried, but they called us a few days ago."
"That's good. You guys should spend all the time you can with both your parents. You never know when you might lose one of them." I sighed.
".....you lost your father, right, Priscilla?" He asked.
"...yeah. I was five." I told him.
It was strange. I could never talk or think about it without wanting to cry, and I usually never told anyone, but with Walter, I felt comfortable enough to talk about this with him.
"...if it's okay for me to ask, how did he pass away?" He asked quietly.
"I'm not sure. My mother never told me. He just disappeared one day. I know that my mom knows, though. But I don't know why she won't tell me." I said.
I began sniffling, and my eyes began to get watery. Here come the tears...
"It's okay, Priscilla. He's resting now." He tried to calm me down.
I wiped away my tears and nodded, but the tears kept coming. I didn't want him to see me cry, though, so I covered my face. He put his arm around me, and I rested my head on his shoulder as I cried. He didn't say much. We just sat there together in almost complete silence, with all you could hear is my sobbing. Time passed, and now I was sure that Angelina heard me crying and left us alone, because it felt like it had been at least half an hour. I knew I had to stop my crying, though, because I was just wasting our time. I put my hands down after wiping my tears away once more. I looked up and looked straight at Walter's face. We stared at each other for a few awkward seconds with his arm still around me. We didn't even blink, but our eyes began to close very slowly. He leaned closer even slower, though. I could tell he was nervous. I was really nervous, too. I couldn't believe what was happening! This could change everything! And is Walter even the right guy for me?
Wow... I can't belive i've already made it to chapter eight!! :D Well, I hope you enjoy this chapter, because I've worked really long and hard on it even with the little time I had to work on it because of school. There's only a couple chapters left, and then I can focus 100% on my next story that I know you're all excited for!! :D
